Branding

A logo is a symbol. A brand is a buying decision.

The service

When someone chooses your company over the competition, that decision started long before the quote: it started in the way the brand presents itself, in what it promises and in the coherence with which it delivers. Branding is building that advantage on purpose, instead of leaving it to chance.

We create complete identities: symbol, typography, colour, tone of voice and the rules that keep everything coherent, in a brand manual any supplier or internal team can follow. And we apply the identity where it lives: website, social media, stationery, packaging, signage, uniforms.

The work starts before the drawing. Before sketching anything, you have to understand what the company does better than others, who it speaks to and how it wants to be seen ten years from now. That is the work that produces a brand which still makes sense when the business grows, instead of one stuck in the graphic fashion of the year it was born.

Great Padel was born this way: we studied the symbol from the first sketch, built the identity and took it to every touchpoint, from the app to the brochures and packaging. At Mipmed, branding went down to the shelf: a colour system that makes every product in the range recognisable at a distance.

We make new brands from scratch and rebrand brands with history; in that case, with the care of preserving what the brand has already earned while modernising what was holding it back.

Frequently asked questions

branding
How long does creating a brand take?

A complete identity typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, covering strategy, proposals, refinement and the brand manual. The timeline depends heavily on how quickly decisions are made on the client side: branding is the service where meetings weigh more on the calendar than the work itself.

Do I get the original files?

You get everything: editable files, versions for print and screen, colour, black and reversed variants, and the manual explaining how to use each. The brand is yours and any designer or print shop should be able to work with it in the future.

Do you handle trademark registration?

We don't file the registration itself, which is a legal act, but we follow the process and check upfront whether the name and symbol have a clear path. We always recommend registering before investing in rolling the brand out — discovering the name is already taken after the uniforms and signage is expensive.

I already have a logo. Is a rebrand worth it?

It is worth it when the brand no longer matches what the company is today, when it doesn't work in digital formats, or when every piece of material looks like it came from a different company. It is not worth it just because you are bored of it: a recognised brand carries accumulated value, and throwing that away without reason destroys an asset.

What is a brand manual for?

To keep the brand coherent when we are not around. It defines minimum clear space around the symbol, exact colours for each medium, the typefaces, and what should never be done. It is the document that prevents five different versions of the same logo circulating two years later.

Can you do just the logo, if that is all I need?

We can, but we say frankly that a symbol on its own solves little. Without application rules, defined colour and typography, every piece of material ends up different from the last. When the budget is tight, we would rather propose a minimal but complete identity than a lone logo.
